Dia de los Muertos - Pick a Person

Abraham Licoln was one of Americas first presidents and he made a big in packed on america today. Abraham was a revelutionary guy he was a commander at war a president of a country and just a great guy for kids to look up to. A lot of people liked him but and then a lot of people didn't like him and u can saw that for a lot of presidents that we had in the past and in present day. one of the thing that happen while he was alive was the civil war which he lead his troop out to war  i don't know a lot about the war but i know that he was while respected. I selected this person because the thing I herd about him makes me respects him and the things he did for our country.

Academic Language Week 8 - Ten Commandments

Junk food should be banned from schools vending machines because a lot of kids are obese from junk food. An ALTERNATIVE  for junk for can be eating fruits or something health but taste good.  One reasons for junk food being banned is because some students will only eat the junk food instead of lunch food. A STRATEGY for schools to do is that they can give candy bar at lunch so that kids would not wont to spend there money on junk food.  A lot of kids love to eat candy but if school let them eat candy bar at lunch that they give them then it might minimize the amount of candy that kids eat.

Academic Language Week 8 - Ten Commandments

No, I don't believe that the 10 Commandments belong in school. The reason why It doesn't belong is because a lot of people have different religions and some aren't Christian. A lot of kids who are Christian go to church and learn the 10 commandments there. It's not the schools ROLE to teach children about that when they can learn something else that is relevant. If kids learn the 10 commandments in school then they are CONSUMING information that isn't needed for them, to graduate. Kids go to school to learn something that will benefit them. Another reason that children don't need the 10 commandments is that if some kids follow them and some don't and as peers they might put eachother into CATEGORIES and make other children feel bad. That's why the 10 commandments don't need to be in school.                                             

Dia de los Muertos - Article Summary

Dia de los Muertos is spanish for The day of the dead. It is a day in spanish history to celebrate the dead, and connects the dead with the living. It helps the living realize life is temporary and that we should live life for today because in reality, everyone dies. Generally, Dia de los muertos is celebrated on October 31st, and sometimes on November 1st which is all saints day, it depends on the part of the world and their culture. Some poeple camp out, and they have bread and skulls/skeletons to represent the dead. Mexicans believe that if you die you are still alive in some ways and thats why you take a day or two celebrate the dead.

Internet Safety Project - Public or Private Profile

teenagers should set there social  networking sit to private becauase it more safe to do that then to not. One of my reasons are that there alot of people at there looking for vonurable people that the can try to kidnape. And another reasons is that you would be able to keep your information private so people can't read your post. My last reasons is that its just smarter to set it on private because you might put something on your social networking sit and somebody might read it that you did'nt know that have you didn't know can get on your social networking sit. But there still alot of other thing that go on in social networking sit that you can prevent by puting you page on private.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would rather be smart than pretty because being smart can get you into collage and a good job. Another one of my reasons is that if i was pretty then people would just like me cuase am cute and not who I am. And if I was smart more people would respect me because I know more than them and I always like to be right. In the future i hope to be smart because I am going to be a doctor and I should be as smart as i can to do good at my job.

Academic Language Week 7 - Vampires

The popularity of vampires in movies and book are going to go down in the feature because it been around for along tome and people are going to start not liking it. Another reasons is that the plot of all recent vampire movies been the same and if they were to change it people would get confused. The newly add romance in vampire movies are a big factor why girls go to see there movies and read there books. My last reasons is that a lot of guys don't go and see vampire movie or else there with their girl friends and some guys don't like to watch the movies even with there girlfriends. Most guys and some girl share there voice about how they feel about vampire movies and i think that vampire movie or just getting old.

“Two Kinds” Character Analysis Paragraph

In the book "Two Kinds" , the character Jing-Mei, is describe as a girl who's around 10 years old who Asian and has a Peter Pan hair cut. Jing-Mei's mom said that she a musical genius at playing they piano.
Jing-Mei had a brave moment in the book when she said to her mom that she wishes she was dead. Jing-Mei is a Asian girl with a Peter Pan hair cut thats around 10 years old. Jing-Mei feel that her mom is pressuring her to become a prodigy piano player. Jing-Mei said in the story "Two Kinds"  "i not a genius! i can't play the piano."  She can be compared with some real people because she has prombly with her mom like a regular girl would have.

Two Kinds" Mother-Daughter Conflict

Jing-Mei and her mom had a lot of conflict in the storie "Two Kinds". One conflict that they had together was Jing-Mei's mom is pushing her to become a prodigy at  playing the piano,her mom would force her to go to practices that she didn't want to go to. Another conflict that they had was when Jing-Mei's mom told her to turn the t.v. off she didn't want to and then Jing-Mei started to yell at her mother telling her that she isn't perfect and that she is not a genius. Her mom was very upset and didn't say anything to her. The last conflict was overtime,I could tell bcause Jing-Mei basically did not listen to her mother. She didn't get straight A's,she didn't become class president,she dropped out of college. Her mom wanted better for her.

I feel that the people who donate school school supplies to san pasqual. I feel appreciative because they buy us supplies that I know that I wont buy myself. I also feel that i have people that care for me that i don't even know so I think thats pretty cool. But they buy us all the cheap thing and some time the pins don't work so it sometime anoying when I am using there supplies. Its cool that they help us get on new football field and i like it
